UK300 Air Filter which one ??
#1
Hi Guys,
Need some experience on this one.
I have a MY01 UK300 and want to do down the air filter route would appreciate any likes/dislikes of kits fitted to other 300's or any for that matter!
Currently those in the melting pot are blitz/ K&N induction kits(are they worth it ??) and the ITG panel filter
Any info would be useful - first to answer receives the wife for the new year - good runner low miles !

Can't comment on the UK300 but the ITG panel in my classic my99 made a nice (if small) difference to mid-range ooomph and only needs a clean every 30k. So for £40 it ain't bad
At least you won't have any of the MY99 associated MAF failure worries
PS You can keep the wife.... the advice is free
Cheers

ITG in my UK300. Seems ok. Works better than standard at top end rev range. Not much different lower down.
You didn't say if you were PPP'd or not. The more you have done to the car previously, exhaust etc the smaller efect you will see changing the filter

NMB, hello m8.
I got the panel, but got this done at same time as exhaust so couldnt tell you the difference, althought I am thinking of upgrading to the K & N.
Hows your new exhaust. Did it make a difference ?
Olly.

Depends on how many miles you do and when you chnage filters. I run a standard paper one but I only do low miles. The only benefit of an aftermarket filter is that the filter for longer than an OE paper one. Then again they they cost more and affect insurance .
Did try an aftermarket filter (not one listed above though) on my UK and it felt worse IMHO and there was gunk everwhere so I threw it in the bin and went back to a normal filter.
