Question

Hi all,
ive just put way too much oil in my P1, will it be ok or should i get it drained out???
I have read somewhere on here in the past that if you put too much oil in you can block something to do with boost but i cant remember what it was!!!
Many thanks, please help,

How much 'too much'? You should drain out the excess.

Drain it to the correct level on the dipstick. They put a Max level on a dipstick for a reason. There's also the possibility that your boost solenoid will need a bit of a clean out.

Most of the peeps on Scoobynet usually aim to get just below the full mark to avoid contamination of the solenoid. If you have contaminated it, it's just a quick case of bob some pipes off and spray with brake cleaner. Nothing too serious.
