I've also seen a couple of threads on a 2.2 conversion.....

While I'm starting again from scratch, is it worth looking at this option?

As someone once said, there is no substitute for cubic capacity! If I were rebuilding mine again I would definitely be looking at the 2.2 or 2.5 route.
