Question

All being well I should be getting my first Scoob in the next month or so.

It has 78k on the clock (MY97, P Reg) and had the cambelt service at the correct interval. Its had all the correct services as it was a company car till last year. I know the owner and it isnt really driven hard.

Would it be wise to get the cambelt done again soon after I get it, or wait till its next scheduled? Could it be in danger of going?

Also, with a car this age (UK model) is it worth having it done at Subaru or would I be ok having this done somewhere else. And in which case shall I just forget Subaru for services in future.

Not overly concerned about resale value as it will be traded in when it's time to change.

Andy

If the cambelt was changed at the 45k service then its not due again until 90k. Its up to you.

Question

Thanks.

Do you reckon it's worth the extra cost of service at Subaru dealership?
