Just got back from my garage after fitting my new Walbro Fuel pump and pressure Reg supplied by Mark Aigin of Lateral Performance.... (www.lateralperformance.co.uk)
What a difference!! from idle throttle response is much better!!
The car seems so much smoother.. If that makes sense
Well glad i changed it!!
Big thanks to Mark, didnt seem to be just after my money and was happy to give me some help with a lot of questions i had...
Definately gonna be speaking to him again
Rob

Both mate, it is a rising rate one and it is adjustable..
ie. i have set it at 3.2bar on idle and the rate rises x1.7
I went for the rising rate one on the advice of Mark, by using the rising rate Reg i do not over fuel low down but will be getting plenty on high boost...
I fitted a fuel pressure gauge before i carried out the work today i was quite shocked at the pressure from the original set up....
Rob
Bet my car aint 317bhp now.... running lean, what me??

Nice one rob This is exactly the set up I use The extra 0.2 bar sharpens up the response off idle and the rising rate allowed me to run up to 340 bhp on std grey injectors.....which is nice

James, pretty cheap considering the benefits... not only has it made the car better to drive but it has definately made the car safer on boost.. The pump was £130ish..
I'm not sure about the standard Regulators, just in my case the std fuel pressure was low, this could have been down to a tired pump or regulator??
Andy, does that mean i am in your league lol
Just been out in my car for about an hour, i really am impressed!!
Trying to decide wether to put my boost back up to 1.2bar now the fuelling is better.. the car feels just as quick at 1.07bar with the front mount on....
Have to wait until my next session at The Pod to see how its running... 12.7 with top mount and leany leany

Rob,
Glad I could help.
Tony,
I suggested the rising rate reg' to Rob, because he's still using the stock ECU, and is getting well over 300bhp at PE, and on 380cc injectors, that is asking for trouble.
The quickest, easiest way of getting more fuel under high load, without causing any other fuelling issues, is with the rising rate reg'.
It's not normally something I would recommend, especially if you intend to get a re-map. Then, a 1:1 adjustable reg' is far better.
Mark.
