Question

Am about to go out in the cold and change a coil pack..

Wanted to change the plugs at the same time but have not been able to get some plugs in time, unless I let the Dealer roger me for 10pound something plus vat each.. what plugs should I get for an MY96 UK Turbo and where from and what gap should I set them too?
I have seen NGK Platinum tipped for 36 but I have heard a rumour about said place that I didn't like so will not deal with them until I hear otherwise.. so hope to get them elsewhere.. Help!

Also what is the best plug spanner / length of extention is best?

Many thanks

JGM

Wink

Took me about 45minutes to change the coil pack nearest the turbo which is not too bad I guess.. all the damn air filter coming off and getting the old one to let go of the wiring was the longest part.. plugs felt at finger tips to be 10mm plugs?

Not must room to get the coil pack out and new one in let alone a spark plug and socket and extention? appears the extention would have to be the exact right length.

I only started the engine after swapping the coilpack and ran fine but no way of knowing if I have cured the problem until the intermittent problem doesn't occur again. etc..
Thinking it might be worth fitting a nice induction kit as it could speed up access to the plugs no end..

Thanks for the advice on the plugs..

I shall email Steven later.. or tomorrow now as getting late.

Stockcar,

How much do you charge for postage?
