Ok, I've just fitted a Stainless Steel induction kit that i got from *cough* Halfords *cough* and the support bracket that is supposed to hold it in place doesn't seem to fit anywhere

Does anyone have any pictures of how other induction kits fit the support bracket?

The bracket itself is like a triangular peice of metal with three holes in it (one at each point) but i can't figure out where i'm supposed to bolt it to, there are no obvious mounting points within reach of the filter itself

It's just sitting at the moment with no support but i am concerned about MAF damage if i don't get some sort of suport in soon.

PS. It sounds amazing and the dump valve has gone from Psshhhh to more like a whiplash sound!!!!

Question

The PiperX that I had on a MY94 used the bottom two bolt holes from the removed original air box. The "top" of the triangular panel was to bolt onto the filter/MAF IIRC.

Notice that you are in Aberdeen (occasionally) so I'm sure we could take a look if your in the town sometime.

Question

Meant to be tomorrow night at the Old Mill Inn but someone has said that the last he heard it was still flooded?

I work in the centre of Aberdeen so I don't know if you can/want to meet up in the town at some point if you can't make (or it's not on) tomorrow.

siwrx,

I made the heat shield in the top pic out of some thin ally plate that i cut with tin snips..!!!

The bottom pipe is made by a bloke on here called phil.A i will try to get his email for you... but there not cheap he wants £70, thought they may of been cheaper, so might get my mate to make me one instead..!
