Question

Most, if not all, of the after-market exhausts that get regularly mentioned on ScoobyNet tend to be systems with great big 4 or 5 inch tail pipes on the back box.

Does anyone know of a decent twin pipe system, possibly twin swept DTM style?

Cheers
Andy.

Twin DTM's are available, I'm pretty sure they are made by Devil exhausts.

I've seen DTM's on an sti, IMO don't really suit the car mate I think for some reason they just say 'normally aspirated' just remind me of Golfs. That is only my opinion though, do it if you want that look mate

MRT do some twin pipes - see here and have a browse. Several american exhausts do too (check out nasioc.com forums, in amongst others). Whether any are the swept (DTM) style, I'm not certain. I also believe Remus do something like the swept twin exhausts in the UK, but never stumbled across their web site.

Generally, if you have a twin 2 or 2.25" outlet, it will be fairly quiet compared to other add on exhausts. The MRT is meant to be quiet, but I don't think their backbox is truly "straight through". The Remus is also meant to be very quiet. I haven't heard either, so that is secondhand information.

I have a HKS Hyper system and it fits great and sounds great, but my mate had a Devil DTM fitted and it rattles and knocks like mad, they are not a good fit exhaust mounts.

I always **** myself when they call them 'DTM' style...... did anyone actually used to watch the DTM (back in the day of Dario and Bernd racing the Mercs). I never saw any exhaust with an upswept design... they were all straight out exits.

Everybody jumped on the band wagon then and there was DTM style splitters, DTM style single wipers, DTM style this that and the other........ bag of ****e the lot of it .

Tony.
