Question

Need help on choosing the best DV for an MY99 Turbo, its standard apart from a Prodrive exhaust. Would rather have one that chatters over one that sounds like your opening a bottle of pepsi.

Cheers in advance

Fitted a Forge VTA - very different noises depending on how you're driving - around town and lowish rev gear changes, get the chattery, echoey sound, but not much "psshshhhhht" (sorry - couldn't resist.)

Drive it ***** out and at high revs you get a very quick sharp "WSHT" and very little chatter..........

Thats on a 99MY with prodrive exhaust, decat and induction kit.

I have just fitted a Forge VTA to my MY01 and as well as it sounding "cool" (oh I am sad) there is also a noticeable improvement in boost when changing through the gears.

Wink

Also got a forge one on MY96 uk, nice rally like chatter on low boost sounds normal on high boost or don't hear it at all when I am realy quick changing gear! Looks superb in the engine bay to well finished.
Or try the Blitz one, interchangable end pieces which alter the sound it makes. Think you can make it have the chattery sound. Have a look on www.racelogic.co.uk

I had a forge on my old 96 uk and still would quite like one on the MY99. I used to find it a bit ambarrasing with it hissing all the time. I liked it but most people took the **** I will probbaly go for the APS one as it sends some air back to the airbox (no overfuelling hopefully) and is adjustable.
