Defi boost gauge...how accurate?
#1
I've got one of these fitted to my MY00 and on the standard ae802 ecu it was reading a peak of around 15.5psi. I've just fitted an ae800 (thanks Kevin )and my peak has gone up to 16psi.
Reading other threads on here re boost levels, this seems quite high. Is my gauge likely to be overreading?
BTW I can recommend the ae800 to any ae802 owners, it makes a hell of a difference, it's like having a new car (at least for a few weeks until I get used to it anyway).

Thats from 1.08 to 1.12 on your Defi then right?, or have you got PSi reading's on your Defi????
I had mine logging against DeltaDash and they were virtually the same readings on both.
Has your car got a standard exhaust?, decat will make the peak higher than on a standard system.
Remember peak readings on Defi's are only the peak the gauge flys round to on WOT, they normally settle back a bit for the held boost.
