As you know I have a super chip fitted on my car. Flame suit on. If I were to use this soley for the purpose of "removing" the FC, would I be able to replace their bleed valve with the dawes? As I feel it cave a much quicker spool up.

Exclamation

yes but remember, if a pipe comes off the dawes or your actuator your engine will blow.

not a nice thought.

get rid of the superchip and use a dawes MDC with a dawes fuel cut lifter

much safer IMHO of corse

Agree, but as I understood it the Dawes fuel cut lifter also leaves you with now fuel cut - certainly a new fuel cut is not easily dialled in.

Better with HKS fuel cut defender, Dawes, knocklink and a select monitor and someone who knows what they are doing setting it up.

SB, it'll only give you problems IF you've removed the fuel cut like the SuperChips apparently does.

If something falls off to your actuator and you haven't played with fuel cut, then fuel cut will activate at around 17.5PSI. You won't blow the engine up...

Cheers,

nick.

As I am only running at 16psi held with the superchip and fuel cut is a 17.5psi why bother removing the fuel cut at all?

If you can hold 16psi then with a bleed valve you will probably spike to 17.5+ hence the FCD I guess.

When I just had my dawes on I set it so that I could hold WOT in 4th and 5th for about 5-10seconds. Took the car to a rolling road and the power was down! Reset the dawes on the RR, getting 240bhp. Then hit FC on the way home in 5th. @rse! With the latter set up the instant kick in low gears was amazing though. I think I may have to measure the boost in a better way, and then achieve this same level with the dawes instead of the bleed valve.
