Question

..my OEM Dumpvalve is noticeably louder on the MY99 than on the MY97 I had.. is there an audible difference between these years? If not is it starting to leak - its almost a whistling/singing noise..

Not too bothered as I've a DTA on order but I'm still curious..

Singing is air escaping - yep, it's on its way out

Depends on what's singing & how much air is escaping. Conceivably, if air's escaping under boost, the turbo is working harder than usual so intake temperature could rise, which may not be healthy.

Hi Rich

Glad you're back in the fold!

I went past an Elise this morning and the driver didn't look very happy. His poor little car was flat out and it had to pull over on a clear section of dual carridgeway to let me past.

I can say that now as you've seen the light once more

hehehehe Floyd - only 132mph flat out, a roof that leaked, blew the head gasket as I drove it to px it ( switched it off and coasted onto the forecourt ) so it was time for a return - just a bit concerned bout the air escaping.. should be ok til I get my DTA on weds I hope..
