Red face

I'm running a TSL decat dowpipe and centre pipe, scoobymania backbox and a forge VA dump valve on a MY99 UK Turbo.

Tonight i took it out for a good run and on 2 occasions when changing from 2nd to 3rd at high revs i saw a flash of (i'm assuming) flame from under the drivers seat area of the car (not inside the car ).

I'm assuming, if it was flaming from that area, its the connection of the d/p and the centre pipe that needs looking at.

It came as a bit of a shock, i was hoping to see a flash of flame in the rear view mirror, not from the side of the car.

Has anybody else had this happen ?

Thanks

Kevin

I am sure it would be blowing like hell if it were doing that! You would be able to hear it!

check elswhere, manifolds, up pipe etc for any leaks, you may not be able to tell on idle.

get a friend to put a board over the tailpipe, then just blip the throttle, this should isolate an leaks in the exhaust system.

safest thing i would check 1st though is that the fuel rails/injectors arent leaking anywhere!!

prime the fuel pump with the ignition and then feel around for any sign of petrol!

I cant understand why it would be coming from underneath the car!
