why don't you want to lift the carpet?
it's easy to fit,lift carpet remove coverplate (three studs) and the ecu is in front of you, then follow the fitting instuctions supplied with the 02 fix box,

It just came in a little box with MRTrally on the side.Didn't fancy lifting the carpet as there's usually adhesive sticking it down, isn't there?
