Hi all,
I bought an HKS sequential dump valve yesterday and fitted it without any hassle. Ive been driving the car around since yesterday and i have found it to hesitate low down while accelerating. It also hesitates slightly when accelerating after a brisk gear change. I have checked my installation and it seems pretty much ok. One thing i havent touched is the black screw on the back of the valve. Is it this thats causing the problems. What can i do to eleviate them?????
Any help appreciated.

Cheers

this is what happened on my bailey dump valve (so got rid of that crap), as it increased the lag. basically the tension isnt tight enough and it takes a moment to shut properly causing the lag etc.

you should be able to adjust the screw on the hks to put a greater preload on the spring which should therefore shut it quicker and give better responce.

UKlegacy, i also found that LAG increased. It has also made the drive a bit rougher. I will try and adjust the screw to see what happens.

Cheers

Be very careful with the screw on the end, your not supposed to touch it... basically it should be set right for your car before you get it, the screw does however effect your idle so it could make an improvment, but it could also make it worse... so mark it and remember where it was before you moved it
