Can you get exhaust bungs for HKS Hiper, reading thread bout Blitz and bungs, wondered whether anyones got one in a HKS Hiper?
My one has two holes in the tailpipe where I presume a bung would bolt into?
Think this is a relatively new thing on the HKS, as i've seen these exhausts before without the holes.
Cheers

Just use a football - that would be about big enough :P

Seriously, I havent got one of these pipes....what on earth does the "bung" do. Is the clue REALLY in the name?? Bungs it up? for what reason? Noise reduction?

CANT be, surely! Tell me what blindingly obvious piece of information Im missing please. Im sure I'm not the only one wondering...

Tried a football mate but it was an old 'pigs bladder' style, about 4 miles into the first journey the football burst and I haven't been able to get rid of the smell of cooking bacon since!

Seriously though, yeah it's for quietening the exhaust down. It fits into the end of the tail pipe and reduces the tailpipe outlet size and deadens the noise produced.

James

I have a bung in my Hiper system basically to keep the neighbours happy and to quiten the drone of the exhaust whilst cruising. Mine was purchased from Torque Developments Int. Plc who are based in Barking, Essex. Their telephone number is 0208 591044 (I believe). The baffle insert (bung) cost me £35.00 inc p&p which I think is reasonable.

Hope this helps....

James,
be aware that there are two types of rear inserts (bungs) for the Hiper.
Me and my brother bought two Hipers a while ago for our cars and after a while we found out the inserts were different!
My insert's internal diameter is of about 2 inches whereas my brother's is much smaller, aprox 1.6 inches. His insert is also considerably longer than mine and far quiter.

Cheers
