Question

As per the subject really. Does anyone know how much the thing'll cost and what work'll be required to fit to an MY97 UK turbo?

Cheers

The TD05 has a 90 degree inlet, which wont clear the 97 manifold without costly modifications to the turbo. The actuator is also different & will require the pipework to the solenoid valve changed.
If you are looking for a replacement for the weedy TD04L, then consider a turbo from the VF range, or a VF based hybrid from Turbo Dynamics. They will fit with little or no mods.

I have a 2nd hand TD05 & also 2nd hand VF24, contact no. on my profile.

Hope this helps

Leeroy, mail me offline if interested. I have a TD05 sitting at home.

Dave yhm. Dan, if Dave is correct, the TD05 doesn't sound ideally suited to the MY97 turbo.

Leeroy,

a hacksaw and a little weld will convert a TD05 to front entry enabling it to fit yours.

You then have a turbo that will flow more air than the VF series and is far more robust.

With appropriate breathing/fuelling etc the TD05 modified in this way is capable of producing 1bar by 2700rpm and will go onto produce in excess of 1.5bar.

Still want a VF

Dan, how much are you looking for the TD05 you have? Can you mail me a figure, thanks.
