After reading the post on 0-60 times on scoobynet general i tried my own car out (94 WRX wagon import) to see what it'll hit in 2nd before it hits the rev limiter. It hits the limit about 56mph according to my speedo. Is this right? Everyone who replied to the 0-60 post on genereal said their UK spec cars would hit almost 70.

Are the older cars geared closer or is it a WRX thing or do the wagons have a different gearbox? or is my gearbox Sha99ed?

WRX cars have shorter final drive, 4.44:1 vs 3.9:1 on the UK cars. I think the ratios are otherwise the same on the WRX, shorter again on the RA and type R

cheers pavlo... i can stop worrying now

Just an afterthought though. Doesn't this harm the 0-60 time or does the extra grunt from the jap version make up for it (lower powered wagon excluded of course). My own assumption is that the car wasn't built for a quick 0 to 60 ... more a quick A to B.

Early WRX's had a 4.1 final drive not 4.444. This is reserved for the STI cars.

knew it was summint like that.

Either way the car is fine, nice ratios for track days without going mental on the motorway.
