Is it ok for these things to be clicking quite a lot ?

Mine clicks after cars warmed up, and when I switch off, for about 5 seconds.

Not to sure as I put a post recently on the same thing. Mine used to click slightly but now it's CLICKING really loud usually around 25.K revs & stops above 3K. It doesnt do this though when idle only with load on driving down the road & apart from strapping somebody to the front tof the car with bonnet off listening I cant exactly tell if it's the solenoid for sure - just the clicking points me in that direction.

I'm sure it clicks lightly - as I had mine of to clean & ran a 12v supply on the contacts & it clicks alright.
