Im gonna be getting the gearbox overhauled in a few months and as its an Sti Ra I want to change maybe 4th, and definately 5th, everybody knows what the Ra's ratios are like. If found myself growing into it though, when accelerating hard it really responds and races upto 5th demanding snappy and punctial shifting. But I want to try somthing more economical, what I dont know. Has anyone changed the 5th and 4th, I have a feeling this idea of changing things could be very expensive probably because the prop and rear diff need changed too ???

If anyones done it can they explain in a bit of detail, what make of gears to use, and rough timescale of the job.

Ta heaps
J
