#1
Hi
I was wondering if any one has any experience with the new exhaust made by Milltek Sports sold by Litchfield Imports I was thinking of putting one on my STI 7 but would like some feed back on the quality and the actual performance increase you get, whether its as good as they are saying

Any feedback would be appreciated
cheers

Had a look at this system while at Powerstation the other day, quility was very impressive, from what they told me power gains are also very good as detailed on Litchfield Imports website.

I've been going through the big exhaust dilema shane, what's it to be??... NEW ScoobySport, HKS, Blitz, then the boys at Powerstation show me this new Milltek, whatever, it won't be the standard "GAY" backbox as you describe it , when we all meet again at the Big One, plus i should have the HID's fitted.

Dont forget H+S have a new look backbox too
I'm not going to bother changing my Sccobysport backbox and mid, not if in 2 months I get the PPP fitted, no point in having yet another backbox in the garage.
Gonna stick the Hid's on mine too, you doing Jasons group-buy jobby then ?
Just paid for the Prodrive springs and front mesh kit, should be fitted before the big meet.

Milltek no longer make our exhaust sytems, they were good at the start but our desire to adapt and improve the systems was overtaken by their ability to cope with demand and new projects.
The technical advice and speed of response was not as in depth as our current manufacturer either.
The system they are currently promoting is an adaptation of the work we put into the system, (altered slightly of course for individuality)
I can't comment on their claimed power gains with a catted system of course, but our own system (larger diameter pipework and no cat, Twin Dump design downpipe) achieved noticeably faster pick-up, plus higher BHP & Torque figures on my STi 7 (JDM).
All our testing was done on a standard JDM STi 7 on Noble's RR.

Well at last the Milltek is on
Myself and JohnS had a go at fitting it last night took a wee bit longer than anticipated because it was the first time we have fitted a d/p, but it was well worth the wait.
Pick up is much faster and full boost is pushed out now around 3200rpm, on my Defi boost gauge peak was no more than 1.5 bar.
The exhaust has the traditional scooby rumble but is slightly quieter than my Scoobysport centre and backbox which was on before, but floor it and a fantastic roar is thrown out the back
Also the benefit of this pipe is the cat, so no worries from future MOT's and any road side checks.
Is it worth it, well after about 30 miles or so I would say a definite yes, this now brings the STI UK's performance to what it should have been.
JohnS also had a shot of my car I hope he gives his thoughts on the pipe as well.
What I hope to do is put up some times of the car against a standard STI which might give a better picture.
Cheers,
Rob.
