Question

Ordered another Dawes from Jamie and going to set it up with my Tek.

Kenny - what boost are you running this now? (I think our cars are the same - Tek3 with decat centre) is it 17.5?

Cheers
Richard.

Don't think SB has taken the plunge yet with the Tek3.
I've got a similar set up to you though and can run safely with about 1.2/1.3bar boost in the cold weather if this helps.

Would recommend having another session with John to remap with the Dawes, as it's a better Boost Controller than the ECU.

Cheers mate

I'll have to speak nicely with John

I was running 16.5 previously with the Dawes but with the fuel cut lifted then I'm keen to run 17.5 - 18 PSI - fueling allowing of course.

Richard.

17.5psi is fine on my JB map with the dawes.
Seems to hold around 17.2psi when logging on the delta dash

All this without the slightest hint of knock

Do I/don't I have Tek3.......course I do

With just the centre cat John has advised me not to run any more than 1.21 bar. With full decat this can probably be stretched to about 1.25bar. You probably could run at 1.25bar now as we all know John builds in a margin for error......but......he does that IMO for a reason!!! Besides, I'm running 1.2bar at the moment and it's pretty quick. Can't be bothered faffing around to try and find my extra 0.01

Thanks Kenny - what's the sums for bar/PSI again? Is that around 17.5?

Richard.

I think John mentioned 17.5 to me as the safe max.
