I've just taken delivery of an ITG panel filter and was hoping someone could offer me some advice on fitting, any gotchas, things to lookout for, testing etc.

thanks

Talking

Advice given to me a few weeks back was RTFM

This roughly translates to Read the ****ing Manual, which I did, and hey presto its actually in the handbook

Two clips, lift the top off, slid the old out and the new in.
Wash the gunk and cr4p off your hands.
Jobs a goodun

Try not to bend or squeeze the filter too much as it could deposit some oil in the pipes and cause you some oil contamination problems with the boost solenoid and wastage and make the car overboost prematurely.
Its also good practice to clean the pipes and box when you remove the old filter (Halfords brake cleaner can be pretty good for this).
Cheers.
Ian.

Let us know if you succeed easily enough and if you did notice any difference in performance etc.

Cheers
