Unhappy

My 94 wrx is fitted with kaaz diff's. The front is very noisy when turning the wheel at lowish speed. What I need to know is how easy is it to work on the front diff? Has anyone had similar trouble (noise like clattering and the wheel grabs in your hand as the diff's have too much lock on them) Got drawings on how to re-arrange the internals from race to a more street friendly setup from Ray kaaz in USA. I have been told it's normal for noise at low speed, but it is really bad! doesn't feel right to me, it is only un noticeable above say 40mph. I think I have the original parts with the car, but as I don't know what original parts look like I can't be sure. Anyone got a picture of standard front diff??

It's packed at the moment (moving house next week), but I can take a piccy of a my00 front diff in a week or so if you're interested?

Stupid question, but you know it's in the gearbox?

Thumbs up

Thanks for the reply, been trying to get advice for a while.
And no it's not a silly question i've only had the car two weeks, still learning!
Would be very grateful of pics, cheers!
Gonna get a clutch put in soon, suppose thats a good time to do the diff?
What has to be done to work on the diff? As I said i've got drawings to alter the internal layout of the diff to create more slip, but would it be easier to change the whole unit?
Is an AP clutch the way to go? seem good, i've got one on my GTI-R (is that boo's I hear?!!) By the way anyone want a GTI-R?

Cheers, James.

James,

Don't know anything about the Kaaz item - but going back to an OE (open) front diff would be a huge step backwards

Email me a reminder in 1 week - my life should be in some sort of order by then...
