Noticed a strange noise recently on my 98 turbo - when accellerating at about 3,000-3,500 revs, there's a noise which sounds like someone blowing over the top of a milk bottle. Only lasts a second or two.

Anyone know what this could be?

Cheers,

Mark.

Your BOV is leaky. Time to get a flashy new one!

nom means a Dump valve. I know it's a BOV as well but not everyone knows what that means.

Wink

Cheers guys, the other thing was a sort of whining noise when i lift off the accelerator, so guessing this is also the dump valve.
