Anyone got the above? Is it worth the £300 I was quoted by the dealer to buy and fit.
I know it's only a shorter thrown to change gear, but does it give much improvement on acceleration, cos if it's a shorter throw you've got the power off for less time when changing gear. Does it make much difference, or is it just about the feel?

I was quoted the same for MY97 Turbo model. Thought £300.00 was a bit steep but one of my mates had one fitted and said it was good enough.

I went for the B&M version from TSL. Came recommended from Paul and cost a third of the Prodrive version. Fitted it myself and must admit it is better than the original.

If you go for the B&M shifter then yes... third the cost and shorter throw!

I drove my car (B&M) and the a P1 with the STi/Prodive short throw. I jokingly said his gear change was like a lorry, felt a bit guilty when he walked into TSL and order the B&M on the spot!
