I recently noticed a bit of a leak from where the drive shaft comes out of the gear box, on the drivers side. It only leaked when it was parked on a slope facing downwards. I could not see it dripping, just a bit of a patch underneath.

I had the seal replaced and it was fine for about 2 months now the leak is back.

It's fine when parked on the flat - no patches underneath.

Any ideas what this could be and why it should go again so soon - the guy in the garage said there might me a bit of play in the shaft. Does it sound serious ?? (It's a 98 4WD Turbo Estate)

Has anyone else experienced this ?? Thanks
