piston ring alignment, gaps at 120 or 180 degrees?

well, it probably doesn't make much odds, simply because piston rings that are not pegged will rotated pretty randomly.

But it can't hurt to put them in staggered to start with, and I would just go 360deg/number of rings.

In all the engines I've ever built, (not scooby though) I've always put them 180 degrees to each other, it's always worked, well, I've never had an engine blow up, lets put it that way!!!!!

yeah, ive always put them in at 180 in NA engines, but just wondered if there was a prefered setup for scoobies.
