I think I have got somewhere in working out why my MY97 is playing up.
After a journey, the throttle Idle switch (integral with position sensor (?)) appears to stop working. the ECU thinks the throttle is ALWAYS open. Position sensor is ok.
this means boost solenoid is ticking & revs are a bit high.

Turn the ignition OFF/On & it all works. ECU says it's shut when its shut & open when its open.

any ideas? as it doesnt appear to be the switch itself!
could the ECU be getting STUCK into thinking the switch is open - static buildup in the ECU or something stupid like that?

once again - at a loss !
