down pipe ss vs PE 65
#1
Is their a big power/torque diference for 99 wrx between cheap single hose down pipe like PE T65 and The big mouth one like Scooby sport groupe A and TSL groupeA?

dunno
I bought SS, and would do so again. I think the PE part is overpriced for what it is. Magnex twin dump is probably the value choice, but I am glad I got SS.

probably not a lot in it if your car is standard. But if you start upping th power, turbo size and breathing in general it will make a difference.
The SS is 75mm pipe diameter up to the mouth with is shaped the same as the whole turbo exit.
If you are only going to do induction, exhaust and maybe a dawes at sensible boost, there probably isn't much in it.
But if you are gettign custom mapping, i would think (but I am not certain) the open neck/twin dump design would allow a little more ignition advance at high boost and revs due to better flow out the wastegate.

I thought the PE 65 was single pipe and smaller bore just decats. The PE 75 is the twin dump similar performance to wide necked scoobysport but withe two pipes from turbo coming into one instead of one big fat pipe.
Therefore i would have thought the ss one gives better gains than the PE65 and is similar to the PE75.IMHO.
