Hello
The standard downpipe looks like it has a heatsheild all over it. Ie all the pipe and the cat is covered. Is this a seperate part from the bit of the heat shield that covers the turbo and has the picture of the hand on it.
Which part do I need to trim when fitting a new downpipe?
Thanks
Steve

Yes it is totally seperate to the heatshield round the turbo(one with hand on in engine bay).
The one with the hand on is the one you want to trim for wide necked downpipe.
Easiest way to remove this is to take the intercooler off as you can get at more bolts then.

Yes it is the only one you need to trim assuming scoobysport downpipe. i think most others are the same.
Some say leave it off, but i think the majority put it back on as it stops some heat soaking up into the intercooler. Oh and your brake resovoir is just above turbo, so stops some heat getting to that.IMHO.
