Posted as I will be collecting my car in the morning.
MY-00 with 30k on clock and service for same 8 days ago.
When I started car this morning power steering not working.
Took car back and told power steering pump has given up and will cost £350 to replace.
Does anyone else think this is dodgy or am I just being paranoid about a coincidence.

You´ve done 30,000 miles in a car with no power steering issues whatsoever, take it to the dealer for a service and the week after that it needs fcukin replacing?!?

I would take it elsewhere and have them check if the power steering has been messed with (ie. leak created, not tightened correctly) as to lose fluid to eventually cause failure.

It's not dodgy, it's a 99% chance of the dealer having either tried to fcuck you over or been negligent. In either case, they deserve being shot.

I hate these stupid dealers who dont know their stuff, take a whole day to change a gearbox, are generally incompetent and charge horrible hourly prices.
