Gurgling under driver's seat ?!
#1
Weird new noise. Only done it the once - stopping after a longish run, switched the engine of & there was a load of gurgling/sucking sounds from under the driver's seat. It kept going for about 3 minutes I'd say... and stopped when I turned the ignition to 'first stop'. Switched it off, gurgling came back...
Any ideas? The fuel lines run under there, don't they?

Hadn't thought of aircon, but I don't think it was on nor had been on... and the noise was definately from within the car! I know there are a few tubes that run inside the car, but I'm not sure what's in them, nor what - presumably is air - doing in there as well.
Odd!

Nom,
What MY is your car? I've removed the drivers seat (MY99 RB5) before to fit some underlay and I've never seen a pipes that could make that noise (not inside the car anyway).
All I've ever seen are wiring (down the outside, underneath sillplates) and large black plastic tubing (used for air-vents on all MY99/MY00, regardless of aircon fitted) running from under the dash, down the centre console and under the seats (both sides). There's nothing in the centre console either aparts from wiring for the electric mirrors and the handbrake cable.
Not sure what the heck it would be ; unless it was something under the car?
If the noise was coming from the aircon, then the sound would travel along all the air-vent tubing, so you should hear it from under both seats and the dash.
