But, if you are in the car behind it....you can FEEL the exhaust rumbling (at least I could at the last meet when we were in a queue)

Looking for a new backbox for a MY00 and came across this one on www.tsl-motorsport.co.uk/exhaust

Just wanted to know if anyone had experienced it ? Particularly the noise level [ I don't want anything too loud !! ] Currently thinking of getting the scoobysport exhaust. It would be good to see a noise level table of all the different back boxes out there....

I think you'll find it is very loud, but louder the better. That's what I say.

Jim, "loudness" is a subjective thing, therefore it's a tricky one to call. I personally love the firestorm and believe it to be pretty darn loud...which is why I'm upgrading to it shortly. If you want a more subtle sounding box, then TSL do their "normal" back box which is rather sweet...or SS...or magnex....or Prodrive etc etc

(Have a Prodrive and soon a TSL for sale !!).

The Firestorm is quite loud but certainly not the loudest exhaust available (BPM "ear bleeding" Twister).

I have been in Trousers car and you can have a normal(ish) conversation while he is having a sprited drive in the country.

You could always try giving Paul a call and asking to listen to it! Knowin him he would go out side and rev the engine for you to listen to it!

just had the firestorm fitted to my99 yesterday (tues),its quite loud at lower revs, as as you pick up speed the car tends to leave the noice behind, just nice.
anyone thinking of a new bb, you must look at one of these, looks fantastic too.
thanks paul, the car sounds great, see you next wednesday, for my forge vta.

Carl can you email the pics to me as per profile? I like the look of the Firestorm too and the louder the better if you ask me. All I wanna know is what kinda sound does it give i.e. the warble of a ss or normal tsl bb or the kind of growl from a Blitz etc?

That does look sweet it must be said. Just need to save the pennies up now. How much was fitting on top of the £370 price tag?

Perhaps if there is enough of us interested we can get Trouser to sort a groupbuy out? Doesnt help you much I know Carl but still a good idea.

Simon.

when cruising the sound is not to loud, but as soon as you squeeze the fun peddle, the noice increases and sounds great.

ScoobyK interested in a group buy? Im on holiday until Tues/weds but if I can get some numbers I'll speak to Trouser and see what deal he can do us.

Carl - any chance you could get a soundbite so we can use it for the groupbuy? If not no worries as Im sure Trouser could sort it out if I ask nicely enough.
