hello im looking for a easy way of getting rid of the piston slap on my 98sti??????? any advise or help would be great .thank you

 

replace the piston(s) mate, only way to get rid of the noise

how do you know it's piston slap?

The cars that had piston slap were AFAIK uk cars, and possibly WRXs, but the Sti engine uses different pistons.

Maybe they goofed the clearances on the lot, but I doubt it.

well i took the car to a rally scooby preperation place and they had a fiddle under the bonnet and said it was piston slap!!!
they sounded they knew what they were talkin about
