How to replace a Backbox?

I'm replacing my standard twin pipe exhaust with a STI one, any tips on removal and installation? (other than be careful??)

Its a piece of cake. Just undo 2 bolts that holds the backbox to the mid section and remove it from the rubber mountings. It should take no more that 30 minutes including the time it takes for your car to cool down and to have a cup of coffee and a ***...

Use plenty of lubrication on the rubber grommets. They can be a right pain in the @rse to shift when they're dry. Lots of swearing and scrapped knuckles if you don't.

I also used some exhaust putty to get a good connection between the BB and centre.

I would check the state of the gasket before slapping the exhaust putty on: it may be reasonably ok, being the coolest gasket location in the system, in which case you might not need to use paste on it at all.
