Magnex BB and decat pipe
#1
I have finally got a MY95 uk scooby and the back box is a little rusty so it needs changing. I like the look of the Magnex 6" * 4" oval B/B and decat system, does anyone have this on there car.
What improvement should I expect and how loud will it be? Dont want it to be OTT just give the right sound for a performance car.
Am I wasting my money, if so what should I be spending it on.
Any help gratefully appreciated

My m8 has the 6X4 and IMO it's too loud and has too much of a warble type sound. I bought a Magnex 3.5 which isn't quite as loud but has a much more crisp sound.

I have the Magnex 6x4 & decat mid section on my MY01. Looks great and it sounds like an Impreza ought to now. Noticeable improvement in performance too

I had a 6x4 oval bb fitted to my WRX, and it sounds superb - a nice mellow warble at idle, and a slightly muffled brrrraaaaap when on the gas. Quite a bit louder than the std exhaust. The car was less hesitant with just the bb.
I've since had the rest of the system de-catted (TSL) - makes the exhaust note slightly louder & crisper, and you can hear the trubo spool up from low revs. With the full decat, the car now pulls from lower revs, and is a lot more driveable.

Thanks for all the information, I think it has made my mind up.
I will keep an eye on here and see if one comes up second hand or I guess in a couple of weeks will have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.
So anyone hear of one going you know where to direct them.
I currently have a standard exhaust so Im sure any freeflow exhaust has got to be better.
thanks for pic looks really good.
