Question

My SS DP has been sat in the garage for 3 weeks now waiting for me to get chance to fit it (I know - what a waste!!!).

I've read the various links but not able to establish if there is a gasket between the turbo and DP? And if there is, should I get a new one in preparation for the happy event?

Thanks,
Jon

Yes there is!

People say you can get away with reusing your old one but personally if im gonna labour over a job for hours id want to be sure it right and would use a new one in mine.... they cost just over a tenner from your local dealer.

Jon,

I've recently had a TSL DP fitted to my MY99 UK and was charged for a new gasket, so looks like yours will need one.

Yes, there is a gasket.

If you were ever in the mood to re-use a gasket, the turbo/downpipe gasket is the one to re-use. With five studs/bolts bolting the flanges together, chances of a leak are slim.

Is there an up-pipe/turbo gasket, as the gasket people are about? Or does it reply on everything being machined properly? I can see room for a lot of blown gaskets here...
