Just wondered if the people who have scoobysport dp's fitted to their cars find that it sounds like its blowing sometimes. After fitting it the exhaust became noticably louder which i didnt really want and it sounds like its blowing now and again!!
Should i take it back to the garage that fitted it and get them to re-fit??

Mine sounds sweet as a nut I run a Blitz, SS DP+BB no exhaust "blowing" noises. I can really hear the OEM BOV though. Id get them to double check... one thing to look at is the join to the turbo.. apparantly they are a real bugger to fit and its easy to sheer the studs on the turbo. Where did you have it fitted?

A friend owns a garage and i had it fitted there. Was very easy apart from re-fitting the heatshield. I think i'll get some new gaskets today and get it refitted.
Thanks

I have a DP & UP. This was fitted by a local Subaru dealer. As the up-pipe was blowing bad I asked them to check and refit the gaskets FOC - this they aparently did. Still blowing badly I took the car to Scoobysport as I thought the up-pipe was faulty, they reported that the pipes were fine but the gaskets fitted were not Subaru items, but were cheap inferior alternatives. Scoobysport refitted with correct gaskets and all is sweet now - makes the right noises in the right places. So, make sure they are using the correct genuine Subaru parts.

Could this blowing be mistaken/compared to the noise given off by using an ITG filter, or should i get mine checked also

While the car was up on the ramps we left it running and air was passing out where the front of the middle section joins the end of the downpipe. Refitted using a peugot 405 1.9 gti gasket (temporarily) and all is fine. Turbo bolts were loose when i checked them yesterday too so re-tightened them and it all seems to be fine now. I'll get subaru to re-fit with oe gaskets asap.
Happy now though as i have more powa :P
