Hi,

I am looking at a turbo upgrade on a Aus spec 99 WRX. I do not want high end power as the car is a daily driver. Current mods are intake/exhaust/larger TMIC/AVCR.Could someone please give me a comparison between the three turbos listed above as they are the ones that I am considering.

So far I beleive that the vf24 came off the STi IV, and adds about 10kw across the rev range, hitting full boost at about 3300rpm.

The vf28 is almost identical to the vf24, but it came standard on the STi V&VI. The only difference is that it has some slightly different flanges.

The vf29 is a mix of a vf22/vf24 so it has better spool up than a vf22 but not as big a 'punch' in the top end. At what rpm does it hit full boost? Does it give greater power than the vf24 or vf28?

If you have any real life experiences with these turbos could you please share them.

Thanks,

RR.
