Fabrication marks in pipes
I've got myself an up-pipe & exhaust manifold sitting on the floor waiting to be fitted, & have been poking about in its tubes
. There's bits - in both of them - of splatters of welding (I think it is anyway) & I'm wondering if I should worry about it. I'm sure with a couple of fingers remaining at the end I could get rid of it, but is it worth it? If it came off I'm thinking of the hideous things it could do to the turbo
although, on the good side, maybe I'd then have to get a better turbo...

Doubt that it would be an issue, if Subaru thought it necessary they would have ensured that the parts are 'cleaned' prior to fitting them.
But...if I were building an engine I would clear out the pipework.
Good luck, MD.
