Bob Rawle www.brdevelopments.com Link & Motec
Steve www.townendgarage.co.uk GEMS

www.ecutek.co.uk or myself (see profile) can also map STi 5/6/P1 using the original ECU, although only a few STis have been done so far, and you have to retain your MAF sensor. However it is cheaper, and you don't use mapping time sorting vast areas of the map that are non-performance related and fine already. http://www.ecutek.co.uk/tuning/aftermarket/

GEMS has some very nice compensation maps. Link can be self tuned (module or PC) and uses speed density rather than MAF. You can also buy a dongle for GEMS and modify the map with your own PC.

I am looking to get either a GEMS or Link ECU and really need to find out who i should be speaking to about each. Who is recognised as the most recommended on each.

I have been a Unichip user in the past and am now looking at possibly an alternative and would like to get the relevant technical feeback on the 2 products

Any recommendations greatly appreciated

I rate GEMS very highly!
I have it in my MY99 STI5 which was mapped by Steve Simpson Motorsport, still running well nearly a year on...
