Having really bad clutch judder in 1st and 2nd at low revs, especially when the engine is cold. Has anybody had the same problem or know how to solve it?

Cheers

Wink

We actually have a section for this (Drivetrain ) but most scoobs do it, the way round is to either do a couple of standing starts or to bring the clutch up slower for the first few mins, i find that works on my MY00 but it isnt a cure, a lightened flywheel may cure it but there have been many discussions about this and unless your willing to fork out on an aftermarket clutch (helix/ap etc) then your pretty stuck with it

Thumbs down

I got the same (MY99 UK). Some of the people here have now had several clutches and all seem to develop it tho I'm told that Subaru now recognise it as a fault and use the P1 clutch and flywheel to replace juddering clutches.

I'll live with it - just fer the first coupla standing starts when cold. Doesnt cause me any bother - just use higher revs for the first few starts.

Craig.
