Only had my MY97 for 3 months, just took it for it's 60K service. They said everything was ok except the car was a bit sluggish. They didn't find and error codes and did an ecu reset.

The only thing that I noticed was a slight on/off surge when doing 10-15mph in 1st/2nd in traffic.

Got myself a boost gauge and fitted it today. At idle it shows as -0.6bar and at boost only goes as high as 0.5 bar. Not good.

I was told that a boost solenoid clean may be the thing to try first. Can anyone tell me exactly how to do this and what to use to clean it.

I have not noticed it being sluggish, but it is my first Impreza, so can't wait until it is performing properly!!

Only mods are a K+N Induction and Forge dump valve. (I have a dawes ready to go on, but want to get it running right first).
