Default Drivetrain swap

Have tried searching but not being able to find much....

Have seen a lot of very simple swaps with STI to Levorg, STI to WRX, STI 6 speed to older cars, etc.

Just wondering if the 2008 Hatch drivetrain is the same, will it go to a classic, more specifically a classic wagon, with similar easy? I keep seeing up to 2007 drivetrain swaps, so am wondering if 2008 STI hatch will go into a GC8 wagon.

Thanks

the later MY08> 6spd boxes (and also H6 Legacy) deleted the speedo drive as they used an ABS sensor driven electronic system so whilst you can use them you need to sort soemthing to replicate the speedo signal

aside from that rear hubs, subframe is totally different so those parts don't swap in the way that new-age STi & widetrack stuff will

To sort out the speedo and wiring speak to a company called iwire. Bit of a mix up with mine so started looking into this.

thanks for the info!

The difference in the rear subframe are concerning, limits the options. So I guess it would be more beneficial to get a pre hatch STI for that project

Have started my search for a Classic WRX Wagon for this project. Will deal with the subframe differences another way
