2004 WRX rear driveshaft help
Hi,
Hoping someone can help me. I stripped the back end off my car last year to tidy it all up as she was starting to show her age in the form of rust.
she is coming back together now, but I've noticed one of the drivshafts has a damaged what I can only assume is a sealing ring on the outer of one of them (thin pressed on ring). I was just going to get a replacement driveshaft, but now I'm confused. I thought the shafts were identical and could fit either side, after looking around they do seem to be sided from what I can tell. Can anyone confirm if they are sided or not please?
Thanks 😊

on that age of car they are NOT sided..........
do you simply mean the small U section 'cup' is damaged as that is only really a stone guard and not a seal of any kind as such
