Legacy gearbox code help
Help, my sisters 2lt GLX Legacy has had a gearbox failure.
ive spent the last 3 days phoning breakers, chasing up leads and cannot find a gearbox with the code TY754XRBAB, the closet I've come is a TY754XFBAB. I'm no scooby expert by any means, can anyone tell 100% if I can use this gearbox?

As far as I can tell, it looks like these are fitted to the MY01/02/03 wagons
Looking at the differences..........
GL model
X - Full-time AWD 5-speed MT with viscous coupling center differential dual range
R - 920 SO engine (EJ201 engine)
GX model
F - 925 SO engine (EJ251 engine)
The differences is the gearboxes are the low range and the diff ratios
