speedo stopped working this morning didnt think anything of it until tonight when after about a 15 minute drive the check engine light came on then i realised that at about 3 and a half thou no boost at all engine just sounded like it had hit the limiter can anyone please help!!!!!!!!!!

If the speed sensor signal to the ECU is not present then the ECU restricts itself to limp home mode like you desribe. You need to sort the speed sensor or its wiring.

You need to check your speed sensor - and the circuit supporting it!

Note you use the correct wiring/procedure for your model year.
