Question

Everytime i am holding in 2nd gear and then go to floor MY00, it just doesn't go, until it hits around 5700rpm, then it goes like a bullet!

I have heard that boost is cut by the ECU when you hold the car in 1st/2nd gear for any short periods of time.

How do I remove this feature so that i get full boost back??, as i was nearly embarrassed by an old shape conv M3 who went to overtake me while i was waiting for MY00 to come alive in 2nd, needless to say when i punched it to third gear the M3 driver had a change of mind and pulled in again behind me.

M.

Wink

This one is dead easy
this is an emissions trick, it just bluffs it by cutting the boost in 2nd gear, the cure??
Blip the throttle before you go, gives you your boost back

Lift off before flooring it if you have been around 3000 RPM in 2nd on steady throttle for more than a few seconds. You end up driving around it subconciously.

You could fit a boost controller but you lose the safety features of the ECU.
