Stiffer actuator for IHI VF series turbo

I need a stiffer actuator as replacement for the std. VF23 actuator, which has an opening pressure of about 8 PSI. Does someone know if these are available somewhere. (from IHI???)

In my case over 6.000 rpm the wastegate is pushed open by the exhaust gas pressure in the turbine housing of the turbo. (only after fitting an equal length manifold) Therefore I need an actuator with a stiffer spring inside. (and I don“t use the car at 8 PSI anyway! :-))

DF, I can't obviously talk in Mark's place, but I have driven his car.
Short conclusion is: robbed of quite a lot of midrange power (hence my tongue in cheek comment),and the turbo spool up is frankly dissapointing. But a *lot* more powerful beyond 5.500 RPM. This with the same car spec/same tuning spec/same turbo etc.
For normal road driving, I guess the car would feel better without the manifold, for outright power, the manifold wins hands down.
Overall I would guess his car would be quicker. But I wouldn't personally go for the manifold, as I use the car on the road/can't drive
Oh and the sound is amazing as well BTW

When you phone them, specify what spring rate of actuator you want and best to ask for an adjustable rod for it.
The VF22 i've got came with a non adjustable rod and 0.5 bar spring as std.
Now using 1 bar spring and adjustable rod. Will probably take a week before you get it.

It's worth noting, that if you "don't" have a re-mappable ecu, with "boost control", or some other form of good boost controller, an uprated actuator may cause serious overboost.

Mark, did the equal length manifold affect the boost threshold of the VF23? Theo has answered above I see, but any numbers for me?
I am fitting some Scoobysport headers when I put the VF23 on.
Certainly on Stephen Done's car the airflow and boost come in considerably later with his standard TD04L/PE manifold than my hybrid TD04L/ported OEM manifold - effectively "resizes" the turbo and I wonder if it might make the 23 more like a 22
Will look at this actuator as well.

The boost is coming in about 500 rpm higher up in the rev range. I do like the VF23 more with the std. manifold. However the PE-manifold seems to work well with the TD-04 (heard it from different sources), but I didn“t tested it myself.
The "problem" I have is that the boost is dropping to quick after about 5.500 rpm. I presume it is due to the waste gate valve which is pushed open by the exhaust gas pressure. The stiffer actuator (which is already ordered) should fix that.
I have still a little bit of injection time to play with at about 6500 rpm. Above that I am already at 95% DC! (at 0.90 V O2 voltage)
Boost which I am running now: 18 PSI until 5.500 rpm, 17 PSI at 6.000, 15.8 PSI at 6.500 and 14.8 PSI at 7.000.
I need massive Waste Gate DC to acchieve these boost figures at the top of the rev range and I am down to about 50% at 4.000 rpm. I want to get a more constant DC with the stiffer actuator.
